Included: implants, abutments, temporary fixed bridge, final bridge (porcelain-fused-to-metal or acrylic), local anaesthetic and check-ups. Zirconia bridge: €1,534 (3,000 KM) extra per jaw, not included in these totals. Euro prices rounded, €1 = 1.95583 KM.

Prices are set in convertible marks, which have a fixed exchange rate to the euro (€1 = 1.95583 KM). Why there are two implant systems is explained in Straumann vs Neodent.

How much do full mouth implants cost, top and bottom?

For both jaws you pay 10% less at TB Dent than for two separate jaws: about €9,200 (18,000 KM) with Neodent instead of €10,220, and about €11,040 (21,600 KM) with Straumann. With All-on-6 it is about €11,960 or €13,805.

How much does All-on-6 cost by comparison?

All-on-6 costs €1,534 (3,000 KM) more per jaw than All-on-4: €6,650 with Neodent, €7,670 with Straumann. Appointments, healing time and warranty are the same. What the difference pays for, and when we recommend six implants, is in All-on-4 vs All-on-6.

How much does a zirconia bridge cost?

The final bridge in the price is porcelain-fused-to-metal or acrylic. If you would like a zirconia bridge, it costs €1,534 (3,000 KM) extra per jaw, the same for All-on-4 and All-on-6.

‍

What does the price include?

The All-on-4 price at TB Dent covers everything that is part of the treatment itself:

  • four implants (six with All-on-6) and the abutments, the connectors between implant and bridge
  • the surgery under local anaesthetic
  • the temporary fixed bridge, fitted the day after surgery
  • the final bridge in porcelain-fused-to-metal or acrylic, three to four months later
  • check-ups, one month after the final bridge and then every six months

Teeth in a day: does it cost extra?

No. The temporary fixed bridge is included in the price. To be honest, though, with us it is not teeth on the same day: after surgery the technician makes the bridge from a scan of your mouth, and you get it after about 24 hours. You spend one night without teeth.

‍

What costs extra?

At TB Dent, the only extras are procedures not every patient needs, and the trip itself:

Which of these you need, the surgeon sees on your CBCT. You get the exact price before you book flights.

A bone graft is rarely needed with All-on-4, because the back implants are placed at an angle and so avoid the areas without bone. What happens if bone is missing after all is explained in Dental implants with bone loss.

How and when do you pay?

At TB Dent you pay for All-on-4 in two parts: the surgical part at the first visit, the rest when the final bridge is fitted. We don't ask for a deposit before you travel. We take cash and cards, and the invoice is in euros.

If you don't come back for the second trip, you only pay the surgical part. On the day of surgery you get an implant passport with the manufacturer, type and position of every implant, so a dentist at home can also make the final bridge.

What does the travel cost?

All-on-4 at TB Dent takes five appointments over two trips, seven working days in Trebinje in total. The travel cost is therefore two return flights, the nights you stay and the days you take off work.

Healing: about 4 months in the lower jaw, 3–4 months in the upper; it cannot be shortened. The temporary bridge lasts up to 12 months if you can only travel once a year.

The transfer from Dubrovnik or Tivat Airport is free. We arrange accommodation in partner apartments from €50 a night, or Hotel Nar from €75. You can fly two days after surgery; how to plan the flights is in Flying after dental implants.

Example: one jaw, all costs

An example, not a quote: All-on-4 in the lower jaw with Neodent, with four teeth still to be removed. Treatment €5,110, four extractions €80 to €104, about nine nights in an apartment for €450, transfer €0. Add your two flights and the CBCT scan. You get your own price after the CBCT, and the best thing to do then is put it straight next to the quote you have at home.

What if I can only come once a year?

Then you get the temporary fixed bridge on one stay and the final bridge on the next. The temporary bridge lasts up to twelve months. The price doesn't change, but the implants need at least three to four months to heal, and that cannot be shortened.

‍

Does the NHS or my insurance pay for All-on-4?

Don't count on it, and ask before you travel. The NHS says implants are usually only available privately; in rare cases they are offered to patients who cannot wear dentures, for example after mouth cancer or an accident.

For a private insurer, we issue a medical report listing every procedure and price, together with a fiscal receipt. Whether your policy pays anything back for treatment abroad is worth checking with them first. Travel, entry rules and our other prices are in Dental tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

‍

What do you get for the price after treatment?

TB Dent gives a written warranty of ten years on the implants and five years on the bridge, valid with regular check-ups. It covers a broken bridge or screw. It does not cover accidents, missed check-ups, very poor oral hygiene or a decline in your general health.

If something needs fixing, you come to Trebinje and are seen straight away; the trip is at your own cost. More on this in What if dental work abroad goes wrong? What All-on-4 costs over the years compared with a denture, and where its limits are, is in Does All-on-4 have disadvantages?

Who does the surgery?

All-on-4 at TB Dent is done by Dr Darijo Pandžić, a specialist in oral surgery, and Dr Nikola Krnojelac, an oral surgery resident. We do around 60 All-on-4 and 40 All-on-6 cases a year. The bridges are made by our partner laboratory in Mostar.

You get an exact price before you buy flights. Send your CBCT scan on WhatsApp; all our doctors speak English. This article is also available in German.
